MAWJ No.05 - THE FLUID SILHOUETTE

A single, continuous movement frozen in walnut.

Mawj No.05 is pure flow. At 100cm tall and just 35cm wide, it is a slender, S-shaped silhouette that looks like a ribbon of wood caught in the wind.

Carved from a single slab of solid walnut, the design features soft, layered waves at the top and bottom that frame a smooth, open center where time lives. No numbers, no clutter — just two sharp matte black hands that glide silently over the dramatic, swirling grain.

This is our most elegant vertical. It was designed for narrow walls, hallways, between windows, or as a pair flanking a doorway. At 100cm, it adds instant height and sophistication.

THE WOOD

100% solid walnut, sustainably sourced. This piece shows off walnut at its best — those wild, light-and-dark swirls that look almost like liquid smoke. Each slab has its own map. Your Silhouette will never be repeated. No veneer, no MDF, no joints.

THE CRAFT - UK CRAFTED

UK Crafted in our workshop. The S-curve is not cut on a machine — it is shaped by hand.

We carve the fluid waves with deep gouges, following the natural flow of the grain so the wood never fights the form. The entire surface is then hand-sanded through five grits until it is buttery smooth, even in the deep grooves. Finished with three coats of natural hardwax oil in a satin matte that brings out the depth of the walnut.

Fitted with a high-torque silent sweep quartz movement. No ticking. Just quiet, continuous motion.

CARE

Dust with a soft dry cloth. Avoid direct heat and prolonged harsh sunlight. Walnut will warm and deepen beautifully with age.
